Festival call Extended for the 14th Iran International FICTS Festival

The deadline to participate in the 14th Iran International FICTS Festival has been extended until August 22, 2024.

Sayed Mojtaba Alavi, Secretary of the festival, announced that the extension is due to several factors, including frequent vacations, the Olympic Games in Paris, and requests from filmmakers. This extension provides additional time for submissions.

To date, over 410 films have been registered across various sections, including 250 foreign films from 54 countries and 160 Iranian films. The submission process remains open. Alavi also confirmed that the selection committee has commenced its work, with the final review and announcement of the competition films to follow.

The Iran International FICTS Festival is the exclusive representative of the International Federation of Sports Films (FICTS), headquartered in Milan, Italy, which includes over 134 member countries. As one of the 16 global bases, the Iran Festival hosts 34 Asian and regional countries, serving as a gateway to the Milan International Festival. This prestigious status attracts significant attention from filmmakers and cinematographers worldwide, showcasing numerous works from Europe and other countries.

Interested participants can register and submit their films on the festival’s website www.sportfilmfest.ir until August 22, 2024.

The 14th edition of the Iran International FICTS Festival, supported by the National Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the National Paralympic Committee, Tehran Municipality, IRIB, and the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, will be held in October this year.
