Appointment of the Secretary of the 14th Iran International FICTS Festival

The Secretary of the 14th Iran International FICTS Festival has been appointed by decree of the General Secretary of the National Olympic Committee.

According to Mashhad News, and as quoted from the festival’s public relations, Seyed Manaf Hashemi, the General Secretary of the National Olympic Committee, has appointed Seyed Mojtaba Alavi, the representative of the World Sports Film and Television Federation in Iran, as the Secretary of the 14th Iran International FICTS Festival.

The Iran International FICTS Festival is the exclusive representative of the International Federation of Sports Films (FICTS). The festival aims to foster competition among filmmakers and program makers, discover young talents, and present creative individuals, aligning with the country’s sports policies. The National Olympic and Paralympic Committee and FICTS organize the festival to support the production and distribution of sports films.

Interested participants can register and submit their films on the festival’s website www.sportfilmfest.ir until August 22, 2024.

The 14th edition of the Iran International FICTS Festival, supported by the National Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the National Paralympic Committee, Tehran Municipality, IRIB, and the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, will be held in October this year.
